The Ultralight Articulating Night Vision Binocular – Katana Ruggedized (UANVB-R) is an articulating binocular housing made of high strength aerospace grade 7075-T6 aluminum. Using advanced multi-axis CNC machining an ultra lightweight and robust design is achieved, including an optimal single piece pod geometry. The Nocturn Industries Katana-R binocular includes features such as individual pod stow shutoff, IPD stops, user adjustable pod tension, and low battery indicator. The Katana Night Vision Goggles are powered on-board by a single CR123A for a continuous runtime of ~25 hours, and equipped with a LEMO port for external power pack use to achieve extensive run time. Custom Night Vision offers the Katana Ruggedized in three colors (Black, FDE and ODG) with the following tube options: L3 Harris Filmless White Supergain L3Harris Filmless White Elbit Thin Film White Photonis Green and White NNVT White From the dropdown menu you can sell which tube manufacture and which actual set of tubes you would like to order. After customer tube approval the night vision unit will be ready to ship within 1 to 3 business days. We offer five choices of Optics: Standard Mil-Spec Optics – NVD Cage Code – These are the most popular and cost effective option. We have evaluated multiple optics and found these to be the best option for most of our customers. Weight: 4.5 ounces per set. Standard Mil-Spec Optics – Noctis (Formerly Carson) Cage Code – These are identical to our NVD Cage Code optics, but have the Cage Code of Noctis (Former Carson). Weight: 4.5 ounces per optic set. Rochester Precision Optics (RPO) 4.0 Ultralight – These are the most popular lightweight optic option. These offer increased performance and are ~45% lighter than Standard Mil-Spec Optics. Weight: 2.4 ounces per optic set. Photonis Defense Boomslang 50 Degree FOV – Lightweight 50 Degree optic system. Weight: 3.5 ounces per optic set Act in Black 50-Degree FOV – 50 degree optic system offering minimal resolution loss. Weight: 4.7 ounces per optic set. Housing Swap Only Option – Includes prepaid label to send your existing night vision goggle, monoculars or parts to us. We will swap your tubes and optics to a new Daisho Package with Two Tantos including collimating and purge. All remaining parts will be sent back to the customer with the complete Katana Rugged.
