Good for gloves garments & blankets for moderate exposure to molten metal splash. 0647-ACK A combination of carbon and aramid fibers. Good resistance to molten splash. Definitions of “HEAT” Ambient Heat is the surrounding atmospheric tempearture in a given situation. Examples: 65 – 70 degrees in an office; 2,000 degrees in a fire walk. Conductive Heat is generated by direct contact with a hot surface. Examples: Picking up a burner block at 600 degrees; leaning against a furnace wall at 1,000 degrees. Radiant Heat is generated by the sun or a source of fire, such as a fireplace or furnace, and is absorbed by masses of material struck by the heat’s rays.
